Probably on both sides of the Nile river, as they did long ago. Not many people live too far from the river, due to Egypt's notoriously poor irrigation system.
2 :
Since the time of settlement the majority of Egypt's population has lived and worked on the fertile flat lands that make up the banks of the Nile river for most of its traverse thorough Egypt to the Mediterranean sea. The Delta region were the Nile breaks in to riverlets and then smaller marshy wetlands has always been the food bowl of Egypt and during dynastic Egypt supplied almost all the agricultural needs of the people often with enough left over for storage or to be used for trade or assistance to drought ridden areas in neighbouring countries during times of famine. This was the case with the Israelites a few years after the Biblical exodus. Moses sent some of his people back into Egypt to ask assistance of the Pharaoh as his people were staving. The assistance was given and there is evidence that this actually did occur as a stele was erected recording that "Israel's seed is lain to waste....." this is actually the earliest record of the actual existence of the Israelites that we know of.

1 :
ya all egyptians understand MSA very good ... if you know egyptian arabic .. then good for you .. but MSA is good enough
2 :
No u don't. Egyptians there can understand ur English, French, sign language, etc. Good luck!
3 :
Egyptian Arabic for speak and listening to ppl, tv, and radio everyday. Modern Standard Arabic for reading, writing, studying, watching formal programs or religious programs. If you go around talking in Standard/Classical Arabic (fos7a) it will be either wierd, or u will be considered some kind of fundamentalist/extremist.
4 :
all egyptians understand the MSA .. also there are not much differences between both languages
5 :
I think the egyptian arabic Look all egyptien know the standard arabic in the same way they know english for example i mean they can speak it with no problems but their native language that they use to comunicate is egyptien arabic and you can`t understand aconversation between two egyptiens even if you know the MSA
6 :
both of them will help u even if u cant speak any they will understand u welcome to egypt
7 :
welcome to egypt brother i am egyptian i think the egyptian arabic will be difficult for u to understand i advise u to begin with the modern standard arabic we all understand it i saw sisters in mousques who r not egyptian or even arabic , from france , russia , america , london , who speak with the modern standard arabic and we all understand it so begin with it after that when u become pefect in arabic u may understand soem words and sentenses said with egyptian arabic from ur friends and donot worry u will find inshaallah people who understand english especially youth so it will not be so difficult for u ************** have u decided where will u go to in egypt ?
8 :
You dont need it , but its better if you learn it so you can socialize in our community without being count as a foreigner . always good to learn your homelands language and accent ;)
9 :
Egyptians would have very little problems understanding you if you spoke MSA, but you'd have a difficult time understanding them if they spoke Egyptian dialect. HOWEVER, it wouldn't take significantly long for you to pick up the dialect. It's also significantly easier to learn dialects if you know MSA vs trying to learn a different dialect from the one you know.

Well, I'm from America, but I suppose your best option is to go to the Canadian Embassy in Egypt and talk it over with them. They will have all the information you will need. Good Luck. If that doesn't work, try going to the U.S. Embassy - your more than welcome to come here.

Why would any Arab wish to come to a Christian country when we all know you hate them? Is it for the money? I should think you would feel more comfortable in Egypt with other Muslims.
3 :
Since youĂ‚´re from iraq..but im sure you do not wish to go back there you might want to visit a European embassy in Egypt, and show proof of why you want asylum in X-country. also keep in mind that theres lots of rasist people out there so think it over and research before you go anywere. Also i recomend you do everything legaly if you wish to migrate. good luck out there!
4 :
call immigrations. they are the only ones that can answer your question on this matter. digby, that's not cool.
5 :
Normally a refugee can not come through a 3rd country unless that country is at war. You should have gone directly from Iraq to Europe.
