Even though we lived in Egypt for 6 years, my mom never wants to move back. She even says some bad stuff about it and sometimes even we get into an argument while me defending Egypt. I don't really know what's wrong with her. She, herself is Lebanese and she has relatives in Lebanon and she never asks about them. I guess I have to wait till I turn 18 and this way I could go alone. It's all a matter of time.

Look I love Egypt so much and I used to hate America for a lot of reasons. But the thing is im here in the US for a reason and im happy. I took it for granted and I love the US now. The people here are so nice, I love my house, schooling is better, better opportunities. My life is here, I was born and raised here and it's also my homeland. Ya I know a lot of people hate ignorant americans and there are some, but also there are some of the greatest people youll ever meet. Also, in the US is is one big melting pot. Besides you can't blame ignorant people for not understanding, it's our responsibility to teach others. Anyways, even though I love my family in egypt and want to go back there. It will be hard for me to accumulate to the different lifestyle. Living in a smaller home, differ people. Honestly I don't know how to communicate with arabs well. I don't know any, and the ones I know hate me for god knows what reason. Im sorrry this is long. But im ready for the thumbs down.

ok I was in the US till I graduated high school (last June), and we moved back in September. I love it here in Egypt, but I don't like MY personal situation, since the college I'm in now is NOT what I thought it would be at all, bas of course l7l that I'm not sitting home all day. I miss alot of things in the US, and my house and our cars, and my school (even though I graduated so even if I was still there I'd miss it), and of course my awesome best friends, but Egypt is soo great in many other ways. So you can't have everything. But if you're gonna move back to Egypt you need to: 1) Either have finished ALL your education, or attend a realy nice decent school 2) ALOT of money, and a source of income (not like millions, but the equivalent of a few hundred thousand LE, so like say, 50K us$ is pretty good) 3) Place to live in bas isA hopefully everything is gonna go perfectly, and I have alot of things in mind like businesses w kda, and I guess my college isn't really that terrible, I mean el mohem a5od shehada ::D

My girlfriend and I (both of whom are Americans) are interested in moving to Egypt to teach and would like to live together. Is this possible?

People will probably just assume you're married. If they know you arent they could feel a little uncomfortable. In certain areas, where people mind their own business, it is even acceptable. I recommend Zamalek or Maddie.
2 :
No problem, there are thousands of expats working here from all over the world and it has never been a problem. The law only prohibits prostitution but living together is no crime. Society it self is not as conservative as you might think, you would be surprised how things have changed during the past decade.
3 :
in hotells no one will ask you in other high classes area no one will ask you you have only to keep sensations of others
4 :
it's ok, just don't tell it to everyone you meet, just say you're married, or engaged together.
5 :
It's Okay Really if you live together If I May Ask? What Would You Teach?
6 :
ITs wrong in Alll religions....! period, end of story...
7 :

8 :
