Why do Lebanese Stars like Haifa Wehbe or Nancy Ajram live in Egypt if...?
So many Lebanese on here talk poorly of Egypt? I hear so many horrible things said by Lebanese people about Egypt, so I wonder why would Lebanese stars like Haifa or Nancy go live there? Just curious...

Egyptian media and Television are the best in the middle east and africa.

Egypt is the middle east hub for media and fame. Stars prefer living there because they simply get more work! Why thousands of egyptians live in Jordan, Libya, Saudi Arabia, and UAE? because they seek better opportunities. My egyptian friend used to get 450 E.L and now he's getting 3,000$ in Doha, and yet he says qatari are racists, the weather is horrible etc...

1. quit generalizing 2. do you think we care? It's whatever...
4 :
Ya they do. It's actually funny b/c they call us smelly and all this crap right, but Egyptians (from what I here) like Lebanese people lol so it's kinda weird. Anyway, the Lebanese people I met were pretty cool so I guess whatever. Lebanese stars go to Egypt b/c they get more fame and money there. I love Nancy Ajram, Haifa even though she's half Egyptian not so much.

Not all lebanese ppl are like that, I love Egypt and I think Egytian ppl are cool. Btw Haifa wehbe is half Egyptian and she's married to an Egyptian.
6 :
Simply because those people who told you that are a few people and most Lebanese love Egypt.
7 :
Because that's where most of the entertainment like movies and music videos are produced in the middle east. It's like how all the actors and singers in the U.S. want to live in L.A. because they are near their work.

When a woman gets married where does she go? to live with her HUSBAND You ever thought their husbands maybe egyptian, its not rocket science!

where do the majority of people in egypt live

where do the majority of people in egypt live?

Probably on both sides of the Nile river, as they did long ago. Not many people live too far from the river, due to Egypt's notoriously poor irrigation system.
2 :
Since the time of settlement the majority of Egypt's population has lived and worked on the fertile flat lands that make up the banks of the Nile river for most of its traverse thorough Egypt to the Mediterranean sea. The Delta region were the Nile breaks in to riverlets and then smaller marshy wetlands has always been the food bowl of Egypt and during dynastic Egypt supplied almost all the agricultural needs of the people often with enough left over for storage or to be used for trade or assistance to drought ridden areas in neighbouring countries during times of famine. This was the case with the Israelites a few years after the Biblical exodus. Moses sent some of his people back into Egypt to ask assistance of the Pharaoh as his people were staving. The assistance was given and there is evidence that this actually did occur as a stele was erected recording that "Israel's seed is lain to waste....." this is actually the earliest record of the actual existence of the Israelites that we know of.

ya all egyptians understand MSA very good ... if you know egyptian arabic .. then good for you .. but MSA is good enough
2 :
No u don't. Egyptians there can understand ur English, French, sign language, etc. Good luck!
3 :
Egyptian Arabic for speak and listening to ppl, tv, and radio everyday. Modern Standard Arabic for reading, writing, studying, watching formal programs or religious programs. If you go around talking in Standard/Classical Arabic (fos7a) it will be either wierd, or u will be considered some kind of fundamentalist/extremist.
4 :
all egyptians understand the MSA .. also there are not much differences between both languages
5 :
I think the egyptian arabic Look all egyptien know the standard arabic in the same way they know english for example i mean they can speak it with no problems but their native language that they use to comunicate is egyptien arabic and you can`t understand aconversation between two egyptiens even if you know the MSA
6 :
both of them will help u even if u cant speak any they will understand u welcome to egypt
7 :
welcome to egypt brother i am egyptian i think the egyptian arabic will be difficult for u to understand i advise u to begin with the modern standard arabic we all understand it i saw sisters in mousques who r not egyptian or even arabic , from france , russia , america , london , who speak with the modern standard arabic and we all understand it so begin with it after that when u become pefect in arabic u may understand soem words and sentenses said with egyptian arabic from ur friends and donot worry u will find inshaallah people who understand english especially youth so it will not be so difficult for u ************** have u decided where will u go to in egypt ?
8 :
You dont need it , but its better if you learn it so you can socialize in our community without being count as a foreigner . always good to learn your homelands language and accent ;)
9 :
Egyptians would have very little problems understanding you if you spoke MSA, but you'd have a difficult time understanding them if they spoke Egyptian dialect. HOWEVER, it wouldn't take significantly long for you to pick up the dialect. It's also significantly easier to learn dialects if you know MSA vs trying to learn a different dialect from the one you know.
