yes he's waiting for u to come to Egypt so he can marry u for the papers and get u to do the immigration papers for him so he can go to the US and live the American dream . good luck, dont be fooled.

Yes, it is true. It is very difficult unless the person has alot of money or maybe family. As Ruby said, just be careful because there are many people doing scams to get papers.

One minute, People, Generally , to travel to a different country whatever is this country and whatever the nationality of this person, the person has to mention a reason...Europeans and American to come to Egypt they have to mention the reason which is tourism ... we always suppose that they are able , as Egypt is cheaper than USA, but if this American later proved not able to cover his expenses , he will be also deported from Egypt,,, Now to answer your question, Your friend has to mention the reason of his visit to USA,, lets say he says tourism ,he must prove his ability financially to do so,,, visit,, he must also prove he is visiting (with official invitation),,,,, So it is not true that Egyptians can not travel to USA,,, the procedures is the same for everyone, For the Egyptians it appears more difficult because the economic status of Egypt,,,example,,, for a tourist he must spend 50 USD /day to have Visa to America,,, that is 50 dollars for the Americans but also 280 pounds for the Egyptians,,, the 50USD means nothing to the Americans, but the 280 is a lot for the Egyptians...

Why are you protesting in Bahrain? I am from Egypt and compared to us you have work and a life to live for

Why are you protesting in Bahrain? I am from Egypt and compared to us you have work and a life to live for?
I dont understand what is happening in Bahrain and why? in Egypt 40% live under $2 a day; so why do they want to get rid of their king? and what do they want to replace him with? with this turn into a religouse civil war between Sunnia and Shia? thank you

I'm not in Bahrain, but I've followed the news. My understanding is that the protesters there are asking, most of all, for more political freedoms. Some are also hoping for more religious freedom for Shia; they find that the Sunni rulers treat the Shia as lesser citizens than the Sunni. The protesters are _not_ seeking to depose the rulers, or at least those who have spoken to the media have said they are not. Their position is that although the rulers generally treat the people fairly well, they're still concerned about the fact that the rulers have near-absolute political power. Although the people of Bahrain are much better off than Egyptians economically, they may still believe they are treated unfairly, compared to the great wealth of the rulers and the nation's overall economic prosperity. But based on what I can tell from news reports, the protesters are interested in greater political freedom most of all.

It's Iran sponsoring the Shi'ites to get rid of the pro american King! That's part of Iran's war against American and Israel that has already begun.

One of my former co-workers was from Egypt, and he did the same thing you are considering. In order to give his children a safer, healthier environment to grow up in and to get a good education, he found a job and moved his family to Canada so his two daughters could attend school here. His only concern was a cultural one. He was a traditionalist and wanted his daughters to marry someone with traditional arabic heritage and customs. And so after the daughters graduated high school, he arranged for his family to immigrate back to the Middle East, and was living in Dubai last I heard. That is not to say that Canada does not have a strong muslim or arabic presence. But because Canada is more liberal and open to a variety of ethnic backgrounds, I think he did not want to take the chance that his daughters may fall in love with someone not of his "approved" selection. It is up to you to decide if moving to Canada will accomplish the goals you set for your family. As for how to go about starting the immigration process, I would consult the Canada Immigration website for more information. Canada is looking for skilled workers for various parts of Canada. You can also consult with the Canadian Embassy in Cairo to see what papers you might need and what opportunities would be available.

Be grateful to the people and the Govt of Canada that you have been given a chance to live in this beautiful open-hearted country- If you do go then remember WHY you have left your own country in the first place and therefore ABIDE with the LAWS and rules of the great Canadian land-Your sons are now 9 & 4 , teach them that it is now their country and to respect that and not start any nonsense when they grow up-Teach them gratitude, teach them good values and let them be part of the great Canadian culture- this does not mean they have to change their ancestral values or religion or stuff that CANADA proudly allows everyone to continue doing- Canada believes in multi-cultural harmony and gives every citizen the right to make something of themselves, be it a cabinet minister or part of the government, so consider your immigration as a privilege not a RIGHT- don't let your sons ever forget that they left their own country to make their lives worth living-
