contact the american embassy in egypt or see if anyone is there in there in the church attending mass
2 :
don't know why u think Americans are that special to marry them ! But any way , go to any cultural American center , it's Called the AMIDEAST, you could search the net for this word, and find where this center is located in each city and could go there, and try to know more and meet more persons.
3 :
there are several places in egypt, where you can meet us. i don't think, that's very easy to find somebody looking for marriage, but well, you will only know, when you meet some. we have our own clubs, some of them require a membership and won't be open to you like f.e. the maadi house, the recreation center of the embassy. other clubs might have not a problem to let you in. there is the 'ace club' in maadi, the 'bca mohandessin' and the 'bca heliopolis' or the 'rugby club'. you can google to find their adresses and current events. you can join the 'hash house harriers' every friday for a desert walk and also go on fridays to the 'victoria college' softball field in maadi. from early morning til afternoon there are always lots and lots of americans. you will meet lots in this places. the military bases are closed for you, sorry, no way to go in there. there are lots of military guys in the mfo base in sharm el sheik. you can often meet them in the 'taverna' pub in naama bay. or start to play golf at mirage on weekends. it's too late to get tickets for the annual desert dinner dance, its sold out. but at around 600 LE you might get still tickets for the queens birthday ball at british embassy in june, there will be lots of americans as well. if you ask this question because you like the culture and want to mix with americans or other foreigners, it's ok. if you only want to have badly a visa to america, forget it, they are not stupid.

The are in a different time zone. :)
2 :
STOP TYPING IN CAPS, THANKS!
3 :
There is this thing, called time zones. They make it a different time somewhere else in the world.
4 :
they have a different time schedule than us- you know since they're haf way around the world
5 :
It is much cooler during the night and in the day it is BOILING hot. The coolness is much easier to PARTY WITH : )
6 :
if its 3 oclock where you are at then its because of time zone changes, but if you already did the calculations then who knows everyone is different, me and my roomies all have different sleep patters
7 :
My ex-boyfriend is from Egypt. He told me that everything is open 24 hours a day. Maybe the is weather is cooler at night too. Sounds kind of fun. Never been there though.
8 :
this is a habit in the East bec nights are more beautiful than days. we stay up late , go to our work the next day , but have a nap in the afternoon . this nap is necessary for us to survive !
9 :
That is quite a blanket statement to make. I doubt that every person that lives in Egypt stays up late. It is probably like it is here. Some people turn in early others turn in late.
10 :
first timezone second its holiday we youth love to wake all the night we take a nap in the afternoon
11 :
to have fun
12 :
lol good question everytime i visit egypt, i stay up late @ 3 am in the morning but im on vacation so... ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh yes!! i can picture it now: i am sitting in the balacona @ night eating bazbousa as the cool wind blows while im watching the cars on the street !!!! noooo :'( why did my parents moooove?!?!? canada i sleep at 12 am because of school....but CANADA IS SOOOO BORING!!!!!!!!!!!!! mafeesh WALALALALALALAAAA 7aga tamelha
13 :
Well when I was in egypt i noticed the same thing. I would sleep in the morning and wake up at night and do that over and over. Also its cooler at night. Time zones are another thing they are like 6 to 7 hours ahead of us. Egypt is awesome. Im jealous of the people on here who live there.
14 :
It wasn't 3 am her time it was 3 am in EGYPT YES, you are right. Many Egyptians stay up late. And yes, they do work the next day. But the work day in Egypt is not like the States. They don't start working at 7 or 8 am. Some places don't start work until 10 am. If someone owns a shop he might not open it untill 11 or 12 bcause it will stay open till late at night (usually 11 pm). So the majority of Egypt just runs on a different time frame and not the 9 am to 5 pm like in the States. Also in Egypt it is common for your phone to ring at any time of the night 11 pm - 3 am. In the States people consider it rude to call someone after 10 pm. But not here. I have had my phone ring at 3 am. I started having to put my phone on silent when I went to bed.
15 :
it is an old tradition,,,,,also the weather is so hot morning,,most works finish at 3 pm so thy have long time,,,,but peoples who works two times day and after noon ,obliged to sleep early
16 :
It's a good question even if I don't have a real clear answer. The hot weather, may be The crowded streets and crowded life that makes anything takes too long to be done, may be. The different timing for jobs and working hours, may be. The mentality of mixing working days and week ends, may be. May be we have all of these reasons together with other reasons.
17 :
bcz it's vacation time here :)
18 :
yeah its seen as normal, because its cooler then, shops are open late, friends hang out together late at night after finishing whatever they have to do in the day, so they catch up, & yes its defintely true that the phone does not stop ringing ! lol

I have received my Green card to USA, now I live in Egypt and my question is how often should i get to the USA

I have received my Green card to USA, now I live in Egypt and my question is how often should i get to the USA?

Soon or later the U.S. immigration dept. is going to tell you the true meaning of having a Green card...You popping in and out the U.S. doesn't make you a Permanent Resident, which is the golden rule of having a green card in the first place. Maintaining Permanent Residence Maintaining Permanent Residence You may lose your permanent residence status if you commit an act that makes you removable from the United States under the law in section 237 of the Immigration and Nationality Act. If you commit such an act, you may be brought before the immigration courts to determine your right to remain a Permanent Resident. You may be found to have abandoned your permanent resident status if you: * Move to another country intending to live there permanently. * Remain outside of the US for more than one year without obtaining a reentry permit or returning resident visa. However in determining whether your status has been abandoned any length of absence from the US may be considered, even if it is less than one year. * Remain outside of the US for more than two years after issuance of a reentry permit without obtaining a returning resident visa. However in determining whether your status has been abandoned any length of absence from the US may be considered, even if it is less than one year. * Fail to file income tax returns while living outside of the US for any period. * Declare yourself a “nonimmigrant” on your tax returns.

congratulations my friend you check here for more information about the green card you can check this site http://www.uscis.gov/portal/site/uscis/menuitem.5af9bb95919f35e66f614176543f6d1a/?vgnextoid=fe17e6b0eb13d010VgnVCM10000048f3d6a1RCRD&vgnextchannel=4f719c7755cb9010VgnVCM10000045f3d6a1RCRD Ithink you have to move to USA in the next 6 months and its prefferable to call back the US embassy in Cairo to answer all your question regarding your green card regards
3 :
you should be LIVING in the USA PERMANENTLY!!!!! If you do not - then you WILL LOSE the green card
4 :
You must live in US at least 6 months of a year to maintain PR status. Once Immigration Officer sense that you have permanent domicile abroad, you could be denied enter to US and your green card could be revoked.
