from an American: me and my whole family lived in cairo for nine years. we lived in maadi as well. a lot of foreigners live in that area.

What I know that the age of King Farouk was the last age for Jewish In Egypt , When 23 July Revolution was evolved , Gamal AbdElNasr get rid of them at all , thats what i Know .

There are a very small community of jewish still living in Egypt,, the last number I read was 200 persons , most of them are old,, who loved Egypt and did not want to leave,,, Now , some non jewish Egyptians would travel to Israel for some obvious economic reasons and they said there are around 50000 Egyptians non Jewish there,,, do you thing an Egyptian jew will not go as he/she has the right to go (according to Israel Constitution),, It is not because Egypt obliged them to leave,, they left by their own well looking for better conditions (or at least that what they thought) still there are several Synagogues in Egypt,, I know my self three,,,actually one of the oldest is in Mara Garagus area...

there are some who are known to the authorities . there are Synagogues , esp in downtown Cairo and downtown Alexandria .

thir is many but old on age for more you have to ask israely empassy on cairo

yes but they are very rarely their percent is 1 in 20 million but all of them are old and its too hard to find them

I was in the US for EIGHTEEN YEARS (born there) and I returned finally to Egypt this year. STAY INSIDE IN EGYPT, DO NOT GO OUTSIDE I can list the reasons bas im waiting for dinner and maleesh mazag :D but if i really wanted to i could :P

i go out of Egypt for study or tourism. the date of my return is fixed before i depart . i cannot stay out of Egypt a day more than the plan. Egypt is like the sea where i am a fish that wouldnt leave it . leaving it equals death for me ! i breathe in Egypt long live Egypt .
