This is the site you need to look at, its what we used to visit England & then to move back. http://www.homeoffice.gov.uk/passports-and-immigration/visas/ & this is the page you need to find = http://www.ukvisas.gov.uk/en/ukvqr;jsessionid=2A8001FF7CA008A8F4F37B1F02FCC2BC.tomcat1?redirect=true&promoId=1910262&reason=Visit&nationality=Egypt&location=Egypt Hope this helps, it wasnt easy, but follow the rules carefully & i hope you are successful.

If it's a short visit, you better request a tourism visa and apply the conditions which I think it's easier. -Up to date Bank statement -Travel Insurance - Proof of where he is going to stay - May be flight ticket These are the most common conditions for many countries in Europe for someone wants a tourism visa. It's always changing and some details are added or removed sometimes and with certain people. I suggest you to help him to apply for a tourism visit now and later when the marriage contract will be registered, it may be easy that he can have residency and may be the passport after some time. You'll need to go with him to the consulate to write a paper and answer all their questions first to let them know he is not going to stay their now. 2nd they would like to know who will be responsible for him or who invites him. The key is you don't try to work on any residency now, just work on the invitation or a normal tourism visa, so they can understand what you need exactly. If you request any special visa or treatment because he is your husband, the answers will be always with difficult conditions. Good luck

Hi look at Wise Man's answer then add these things to the list. 1. You need proof that he has a job here and that he is only going on vacation and will be returning to his job. And that he will have a job to return to. 2. If you have land/apartments that you own (in his name) take these. If you own your own car and you have the documents to prove the land/apartment and car you need to take them. 3. 1 year's of bank statement and they must have money in it. So you cannot just transfer money from your account to his so that it looks like he has a lot as they look at the withdrawl's and the deposits to make sure that it is a proper bank account. 4. If this is your husband's first visit from Egypt to England you should just apply for a 6 month visa. As if you apply for a 2/5/10 year visa they may reject you because of the length of the visa not because he has done something wrong. 5. Depending on your husband's age he will have to go to a place in Cairo to prove that he should not be doing national service and if he shouldn't or has been exempt for some reason he will take a certificate with him. If he has done his national service and has done the 10 years after the military he can then go to the military in Cairo and they will stamp his passports saying that he will no longer ever be called up. 6. You will also have to fill in an online application at worldbridge services and this is about 8-15pages and then you will make an appointment for an interview in Cairo, where they will scan his iris's and take his fingerprints, these are for the new biometric passports that Egypt should be starting to have soon. I hope that this is of some help to you and good luck
